John is a seasoned business leader, entrepreneur, and sales professional with more than 28 years of experience across industries ranging from surgical sales and construction to insurance and real estate.
A 1998 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, John earned a BBA in Finance and later earned his MBA. He is a former Infantry Officer in the United States Army and previously served as Pastor of SouthPoint Church. Today, John owns and operates an Allstate insurance agency in Bixby and has been an active real estate investor since 2008.
Community involvement and mentorship have been consistent themes throughout John’s life. Before moving to Bixby, John lived in Houston, Texas, where he worked with inner-city youth for several years. He is currently in his 16th year of coaching youth sports in the Bixby area, including football, basketball, and baseball.
Known as “Coach Roach the Insurance Coach,” John advertises on The Sports Animal and is a weekly guest on the Coach Pat Jones Show, where he talks Arkansas Razorback and Bixby Spartan football.
John and his wife, Paula, celebrated 22 years of marriage this summer and are the proud parents of four children: Lofton, Keller, LolaBelle, and Mase, ranging in age from 12 to 20.
