Introducing Terry Henshaw:
Terry Henshaw built a successful business (a family entertainment complex) that spanned over 15-acres. He sold the company to move with his family to St. Petersburg, Russia when the country opened up for amazing opportunities to help people. After 4 years, the Henshaw's moved to Prague, Czech Republic, establishing community outreaches all across Eastern Europe. Returning home from overseas, he continued his work in missions for many years coordinating and setting up national crusades and conferences, as well as distribution of humanitarian aid all over the world.
In 2005, when Hurricane Katrina hit, he began to shift into disaster relief all over the United States. He founded 180 Disaster Relief, that today responds at a much greater level, with networks of non-profits, resources, and volunteers across the US. They have also established an East Coast Distribution Center, located in the North Myrtle Beach area, responding to disasters along the East Coast. They also help coordinate with the West Coast Distribution Center, and working with the families that lost their homes due to the California fires.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, 180 Disaster Relief coordinated over 17 million meals across 34 states with daily grocery distributions. They coordinated 300 semi-loads of food each week, as part of the USDA Farmers to Families Foodbox Program. (F2F).
As a result of the F2F Program, Terry launched CityServe Oklahoma in 2021, distributing brand new furniture, appliances, beds, household goods, etc. to thousands of families across Oklahoma. CityServe Oklahoma receives semi-loads of brand new products each week from large distributors like Costco, Wal-Mart, Amazon, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, TempurPedic, Crate & Barrel, Bed Bath & Beyond and so many more. They give these products away for free to single mothers, elderly, widows, veterans, natural disaster situations and low income families, to provide hope beyond the box. CityServe Oklahoma connects a local church within a mile of that family, who then dedicates a year of support and community around that family, so they receive discipleship, mentoring, physical help, spiritual help, mental help and so much more. In 2021, CityServe Oklahoma served over 280,000 families in need with brand new products and furniture, and distributed $10 million in GIK (gifts in kind). They currently resource 218 churches and non-profits across the Oklahoma area, with GIK to serve families in every community.
Terry is also a motivational speaker and life coach that travels to large corporations and companies, inspiring growth and expanding vision.
