Jim Brown is a Kansas boy growing up in the small town of Russell, moving to Ulysses in his teens, and attending Abilene Christian University after high school. Jim has served several congregations from a variety of denominations as youth minister and senior minister. He sprinkled in business ownership and real estate brokering along the way. In October of 2024 Jim was named the Oklahoma State Director for LifeWise Academy. Brown leads the Oklahoma LifeWise Team in bringing Bible education to public school students during school hours. Traveling the state, Jim shares the history of LifeWise, the goals of this movement, and what it will take to accomplish these God-sized goals. Living in Altus, Jim and his wife Sharon have three grown boys, two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren, with #6 on the way.
