About Dr. Henderson:
Dr. Henderson served for over forty years in higher education administration and consulting and eight years in state government. He was on the leadership team of five institutions, including Oral Roberts University, Pittsburg State University, Portland Bible College, and Ecclesia College, as well as Assistant Vice Chancellor for the University of Arkansas. Most recently, he was an Associate Professor and the founding Program Coordinator of the Doctor of Organizational Leadership program at Southeastern University, Lakeland, FL.
He taught doctoral courses in leadership and ethics, organizational systems and management, organizational change and strategies, higher education leadership, organizational leadership, and public policy and chaired numerous doctoral dissertations.
Although "retired", he currently teaches in the MBA program at Harding University, Developmental Mathematics for Tulsa Community College, and, in an attempt to stay "young", substitutes as needed in mathematics for local high schools.
Dr. Henderson's two ongoing research, writing and speaking areas are Biblical leadership principles (Leadership God's Way) and his ongoing study of what happens to Christian kids if they go to non-Christian colleges (Why Choose A Christian College) - a widely quoted source for promoting the value of a Christian college education.
With a passion for encouraging Christian leaders in all organizational types, Steve brings a strong understanding of the best of the best leadership, growth, and quality strategies to any organization he serves.
He is a Senior Fellow of the Association for Biblical Higher Education and a frequent speaker at national and statewide conferences on leadership, ethics, and student college, as well as numerous church and Christian college campus events and chapels. His doctorate is from the University of Arkansas with dissertation research at the Higher Education Research Institute of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
