Introducing Bill Blankenship:
Bill Blankenship was born and raised in Spiro, Oklahoma and graduated from Spiro High School. He attended University of Tulsa and married his wife Angie in 1978. He and his wife have 3 sons.
Blankenship is a veteran football coach and a former player at the University of Tulsa.
Before becoming the Oklahoma State Champion with Owasso High School football, he was the head coach of the University of Tulsa.
Though Blankenship was a successful college coach, much of his success has been coaching high school football for over 20 years. He has coached at Union High School, Fayetteville High School and recently retired from Owasso High School.
At Union High School, Blankenship served as head coach for 14 years until 2005 where he compiled an overall record of 154-26. Union won eight consecutive district championships, qualified for the playoffs 14 times, reached the quarterfinals 10 times, participated in the state Class 6A championship seven times, and won the state title in 2002, 2004, and 2005.
At Fayetteville High School, Blankenship coached for one year and led the school to the Class 7A Arkansas state title.
