Regent Bank FBS - Gary Sylva

Gary Sylva is on a mission to share inspiration and empowerment to every platform needing to connect to a motivational message of success. His background is full of varied experiences including serving in our U.S. Military as a CM2 Construction Mechanic and Career Counselor in the Navy Seabees, working in the Automotive Aftermarket as a Warehouse Technician/Inventory analysts with the Dana corporation, Pipeline Gas Industry with the Williams Pipeline Group , Aerospace Manufacturing with Cessna Aircraft/Textron Aviation, and also some 35 years in ministry abroad.

These experiences have afforded him an understanding of diversified views and perspectives. The communication venues of his life include public speaking, acting, play writing, coaching, artistic expressions of many sorts, serving with Habitat for Humanity, and city planning & zoning boards. He always had the passion to meet the needs of others no matter what was placed before him. He always wanted his successes to be a platform for helping others whether that would be opportunities for them or creating a platform to meet the needs of society.

While living in Kansas, his ministry abilities thrived in a new blossoming church multicultural church called “Wings of Faith Fellowship”, with a television ministry that was awarded several TV network production awards, followed by a Gospel Radio Show on KIND HIT 102.9 show “Spirit & Soul”. In 2009 he relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma for additional opportunities and a fresh start. The non-profit he manages now is the “Compasstruth Foundation”, a non-profit that engages with other non-profits to help meet their needs whether that is through monetary contributions or providing helping hands to accomplish outreach events, but in its own detail a full-service ministry for needs abroad. As a playwright, he has written a play called “Forgiven” which addresses all the ism's and schism's our society is ailing with today.

Currently Gary is an educator within Tulsa Public Schools, and is employed through Thoreau Demonstration Academy. He has acted in two movies recently, one for TBN in a series called “In the Gap” and most recently, a newly set to release film “Birdie”. He has also been a part of Toastmaster's International, a nonprofit educational organization.

In his busy life he was impacted by an enlightened experience that is the basis of today's presentation. In the fall of 2007 on December 14th his life would be changed in a traumatizing manner which would be the challenge of his life causing him to be placed in a process of renewed self-discovery and recovery.
