Introducing: Jim Furr

A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Jim served five years on active duty as an artillery officer, including a year in Vietnam. Following his military service, Jim took an engineering position with the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan.

Answering God’s call to vocational ministry, Jim earned Master of Theology and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary. He served as teaching pastor for 17 years, 10 at Grace Bible Church in Mena, Arkansas, followed by seven at Sierra Vista Community Church in the Los Angeles area. In 2000, Jim and his wife, Ginny, returned to their Tulsa roots.

Since 2001, Jim has served with FocalPoint, a LeaderImpact ministry of Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ International). As Tulsa Team Director, Jim coordinates the efforts of a group of business and professional men and women to reflect Jesus together for the good of the city.

Jim is the author of “Pointers in Proverbs: Wisdom to Live and Lead with Excellence.” He and Ginny will be married 50 years this May. They are blessed with six adult and 10 grandchildren.

The Regent Bank Faith in Business Series is was created to encourage business leaders to utilize out the platform to live out our faith. This is a forum to help Christian business owners fellowship, network and share best practices for transformational servant leadership and to learn to better integrate faith into their spheres of business.
