Dave grew up as the son of an Army chaplain and he experienced twelve moves before graduating from high school in Newport News, VA. He graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.S. in Industrial Management.

After college he served on a church staff then spent six years working in campus ministry in the northeast. In 1978 Dave moved to Tulsa to shift from a focus of discipling college students to mentoring men in the community. He did that as an avocation for many years while working in the Tulsa business community.

In 2004, at the urging of close friends, Dave founded Your One Degree, a ministry of coaching individuals in focus, purpose, and effectiveness. His 25 years in corporate life at General Electric and American Airlines, along with many years as a business owner, as a consultant, and as a mentor of men have proven invaluable in helping men find their One Degree, their God-given particular purpose.

Dave is married to Janice and they have two grown sons.
